Mohammad Waris Azimi, a distinguished engineer born in 1997 in Kabul, Afghanistan, to Mohammad Karim Azimi, has woven a remarkable tapestry of academic achievement, professional prowess, and community service. His educational journey began in Kabul, culminating in the completion of his undergraduate studies in the local landscape. Seeking excellence, Mohammad Waris Azimi earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science and Technology from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad, India.
Initiating his professional journey at a remarkably young age of 16, Mohammad Waris Azimi began as a Graphic Designer and Video Editor at KaPul Group of Companies, a prominent advertising corporation in Afghanistan. His trajectory evolved with a transition to NewGen Technologies, where he currently serves as an IT Security Officer at New Kabul Bank (NKB), contributing over 8 years of experience to ensure the robust security of IT systems in the financial sector.
Beyond his roles in IT and graphic design, Mohammad Waris Azimi ventured into social work, training, and teaching, aligning with his lifelong ambitions. He has made impactful contributions to organizations such as JRS International NGO (Jesuit Refugee Services), GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), AIA NGO (Ataturk Institute Afghanistan), APV (Afghan Peace Volunteers), TDTTC (Tolo-E-Danish Teacher Training College), Kabul Shiney Eye, HOCO (Help for Orphan Children Organization), and Suzuki Innovation Center.
His accolades include multiple awards for Best Speaker at his university, the First Prize Winner at the Afghans Best Speaker Festival (ABSF), Ambassador of Afghanistan in the Global Community, Best Teacher of the Year at TDTTC, and Employee of the Month at AIA-AFG. Holding the title of Youth Ambassador at One Young World (OYW) further attests to his exceptional leadership qualities.
